John Mee Canopies was founded in 1985 by John Mee. John, a wood craftsman for over 30 years, sold his work at craft shows throughout the years. He built John Mee Canopies based on his personal experiences and those of the many craftsmen he came to know. His purpose was to provide fellow craftsmen with the best equipment available at the lowest possible price. Within three years, John Mee Canopies was serving not only the craftshow market, but Parks and Recreation Departments, Schools, and numerous government agencies. John, always responsive to the needs of his customers, answered the overwhelming number of requests for accessories by manufacturing his own line of products. John died in October of 1997 after a brave battle with cancer. We, at John Mee Canopies, remain committed to honoring the principles that made John's venture a success
